People’s Postcode Lottery manages lotteries on behalf of 20 Postcode Trusts. People play with their chosen postcodes for a chance to win cash prizes. A minimum of 33% from each subscription goes directly to charities and good causes in Britain and internationally. Players have raised more than £750 million so far. For details of the charities and good causes which are promoting and benefitting from the lottery draws, please visitwww.postcodelottery.co.uk/good-causes/draw-calendar
Support to date from players of People's Postcode Lottery has been fundamental in helping redesign global plastics systems through the Foundation's New Plastics Economy initiative. Through its regular support as a Strategic Partner, People's Postcode Lottery Green Trust is helping the Foundation expand its programmes across education, research and communications. Most recently, the Foundation's Make Fashion Circular initiative was announced as one of the winners of the £1 million Dream Fund, awarded by players to help redesign the fashion industry.
Players of People's Postcode Lottery first funded the Ellen MacArthur Foundation in 2016 when, along with the Plymouth Marine Laboratory, they won £500,000 to fund their dream project - The New Plastics Economy. Since then the relationship has gone from strength to strength and I am delighted that our players are now able to support the Foundation as a long-term supported charity of People's Postcode Lottery.
